Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia
The Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia and Autism Research and Support Foundation have been collaborating for number of years. The Ministry is loyally standing beside the Foundation and Ministry’s support made it possible to establish the tradition of charitable concerts, which have been organized every year on 02 April, Global Autism Awareness Day.
All funds generated via the charitable concerts are directed towards the projects planned by Autism Association of Georgia and Autism Research and Support Foundation.
Part of the generated funds has been already utilized for the transformation of Children’s Autism Center into the Child Development Institute under Ilia State University. The other part of donations accumulated in the foundation is fully utilized for the implementation of activities required for the establishment of training/rehabilitation Complex for Adolescent and Juvenile Persons suffering from ASD.
In addition to financial assistance, the charity concerts organized with the assistance provided by the Ministry of Culture, had huge response within the society, facilitating improved awareness of our society about the autism.
Autism Research and Support Foundation with the support from the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia plans to continue the tradition of charitable concerts in the future, which would facilitate the implementation of such a project with the regional scope, as the establishment of above mentioned complex.
